The Tryom CC-700 is a cool and unique little hand held chess computer! Made by the Tryom electronics company back in 1981, this chess computer is one of the early generations of publicly available chess computers and engines. Although it came so early, the Tryom CC-700 is a nifty little hand held chess computer and very neat and collectable! Also, it is compact and small enough that you can easily take it with you traveling and use anywhere. Unlike some other early models of publicly available chess computers which just sent you a piece of paper for a board and you had to find your own pieces, the Tryom CC-700 has a very nice little wooden board with magnetic pieces!

The Tryom CC-700 can solve chess problems, verify positions, play either color, plays "special moves" like castling and pawn promotion, and has a "tutorial function", among other cool features! The Tryom CC-700 also has a bright little LED display. There are 7 different difficulty levels to choose from. Although not super strong, the Tryom CC-700 is a decent opponent on higher levels. The Tryom CC-700 can use a power chord but is also battery operated.

The Tryom CC-700 is rare, and this listing comes with the original box, wooden board and magnetic pieces, instructions, and chess rules booklet.

Be aware, I have this listing as for parts or repair condition because this Tryom CC-700 unit isn't working. When turned on, the display just shows all 8's and nothing else, and none of the buttons will do anything either.

I'm a collector of self moving chess computers like the Fidelity Phantom 6124 and 6126 Chesster Chess Challengers. I have been intentionally building my collection up since June of 2022.
