Convergence Corporation ECS-90 Video Editing 6802 Computer 1983 - Museum Quality

“Computer is in very good to excellent cosmetic condition. Due to the fact that some of the chips may be extremely difficult to replace, I have not powered it on. The power supply voltages should be checked and corrected if needed before powering up. It uses a Hitachi 6802 with a date code of 1983. This computer measures about 17 x 13 ¼ x 4 ½ inches. One of the rubber feet is missing and the labels on the bottom have wear. Convergence introduced their first ECS in late 1975. In 1982 Convergence joint ventured with LucasFilm LTD and created a Company called DroidWorks that produced the EditDroid - Utilizing Optical Disks to replace film for off-line editing that conformed to feature length film distribution. In 1986 Convergence and its holding company, Acquis was sold to EECO. That same year LucasFilm purchased 100% of the Joint-Venture company DroidWorks. This important computer is worthy of any museum.
